About Us
So why do people watch the Super Bowl? Don’t say “For the football.”
We watch because we know that between the game and the half-time show, we’re still going to be entertained. Brands put massive resources into concocting the funniest, most outrageous, and —above all else— most memorable ad spots they possibly can.
What if we told you that you didn’t have to wait until February to be interesting?
With a network of creatives and crew who have a combined few centuries of experience making comedy content across all mediums, let us translate your brand’s story into something that’s going to make people feel like they’re watching their favorite show every time your ad shows up.
Sad But Drew is a creative production company that has extensive experience in the film, television, and commercial worlds, from development through delivery—so we know how to get the job done well, on time, and on budget—but we’re also not afraid to have a little fun. It’s show business, after all.
Hi, it’s Drew!
Why did I start Sad But Drew? Well, people start companies for one of two basic reasons: they have a new idea OR they think they can do an already-existing idea better than the other guys. Unfortunately, I didn’t invent filmmaking - but I do think that there’s a better way to get it done.
I’ve been an actor, I’ve been a production assistant, I’ve been an accountant, an AD, an APOC, a UPM, and every acronym in between. So I know film production, and I know the amount of hard work and sacrifice it takes at every level of the supply chain. From where I’m standing, how we make something is just as important as what we’re making. Fair pay, reasonable hours, and a healthy working environment aren’t much to ask for, but they seem to be getting harder and harder to come by in Hollywood these days.
So let’s flip the script and remember that we’re here to make movies, commercials, and TV shows - we have the coolest job in the world. It should feel that way!
Take a look at some of the work we’ve done, and let’s make some more of it. If you have any questions, please reach out via our contact form; someone will be back in your inbox before you know it.
